Next Generation of Public Servants
Working in partnership with federal agencies, HSF Institute
has designed a human capital strategy that taps Latino collegiate
talent. By establishing a pathway for Latino college students
who are academically accomplished in the disciplines needed
to serve agency missions, HSF Institute addresses government's
current and future human capital needs through the Next Generation
of Public Servants model.
The program:
- Provides scholarships of $3,000 to students enrolled in
community colleges who plan to transfer to four-year institutions,
as well as students already enrolled in four-year institutions.
- Targets students who have completed 24 college credits seeking baccalaureate degrees
in disciplines that support the missions of partnering federal
agencies.
Scholarship opportunities are currently available.
Eligible academic majors are:
- Engineering, including Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Material, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Nuclear, and Petroleum
- Sciences, including Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Information Technology, Geology, Math, Microbiology, and Physics
- Social Sciences, including Economics, Organizational Psychology, Political Science, and Sociology
- Business, including Accounting, Finance, Management, and Business Administration
