The Hispanic Scholarship Fund Institute was created in 2001 to extend the impact of our parent organization, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), on the achievement of Latinos in the United States. Working with HSF on the goal of doubling the rate of Hispanic college graduates, the primary focus of HSF Institute is to engage the public sector in support of Latino higher education achievement.

Mission
The mission of the Institute is to secure public funding to increase educational achievement of Latinos in the United States: to improve the public’s understanding of the need to address Latino higher educational attainment, and to promote effective public policy for Latino higher education.

Vision
The Institute’s vision is to create awareness and understanding of the growing need and responsibility for the public sector to support the higher education of Latinos through scholarships, fellowships, grants and outreach.
